How to use Email Slicer.

Getting started

1. Create an account with your email or Google, and confirm your email address. You need a confirmed address to export.
2. Connect a Klaviyo account under Brand profiles → + Add brand, with Klaviyo login or a private API key. You can skip this and download ZIPs instead.
3. Choose + New project, upload a design, and follow the five steps shown at the top: Upload, Prepare, Slice, Review, Export.

Your work is saved as you go. Leave a project at any step and pick it up from the dashboard.

Uploading a design

• PNG or JPG files up to 25 MB, at most 4000 px wide and 30,000 px tall.
• Export the email at 2x (1200 px wide for a 600 px email) so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens.
• Or import a Figma frame: see Figma import.
• On Prepare, drag the crop handles to remove anything outside the email, then choose a sensitivity and Detect slices.

Slicing

Warnings point out very short or very tall rows. When the cuts look right, choose Confirm slices. Keep text and buttons whole: a cut through a word looks broken when images load at different times.

Alt text, links and text

• Every slice gets drafted alt text, up to 125 characters. Edit it, or use Improve with AI for a shorter version or one that mentions the offer.
• Tick Decorative for spacers and dividers, so screen readers skip them.
• Add a link per slice. Auto-fill all missing links uses the brand’s default link, and the brand’s UTM settings are added to every link.
• Switch a slice from Image to Text to make it live text. The words are transcribed for you to check.
• Use Hide on mobile for slices that only belong on desktop, and + Add block for a spacer or your own HTML.
• Preview the whole email on desktop and mobile before you export.

The built-in alt text is included in every plan’s monthly allowance. To use your own OpenAI or Anthropic key instead, open Settings → AI alt text.

Exporting

• Create template pushes the email to the brand’s Klaviyo account.
• Choose Template + campaign to also create a draft campaign: add a subject line, preview text, sender and at least one list or segment.
• Download ZIP gives you index.html, the images and a manifest for any other platform.

Each push or ZIP counts as one export. If something fails, the Export page shows why, with a Retry button. Changed your mind after a push? Edit the project and push again; the new template gets a “(2)” suffix instead of overwriting the first.

Klaviyo

Connecting, permissions, what transfers and how to disconnect are covered step by step on the Klaviyo integration page. Each brand profile also holds defaults you can change: link, UTM parameters, email width, and alt-text language and style.

Teams and pods

On Pro and Agency, the owner can invite teammates under Settings → Team and group clients into pods under Settings → Pods. A pod has client brands and people: Pod Managers run the pod, Implementors build the emails. People only see the brands and projects in their pods. See For agencies for how the roles work.

Your account

• Change your name and email notifications on the Profile page.
• Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the login page.
• To close your account or get a copy of your data, email hello@emailslicer.io from the address on the account.

Plans and billing

• Upgrade, downgrade or cancel under Settings → Billing. Only the owner can.
• Limits reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). The Free plan has 5 exports a month.
• Invoices and payment methods are under Manage billing.
• Refunds and cancellations follow the Billing & Refund Policy.
